Joining this prestigious higher education institution is a pleasure, privilege and responsibility. Established in the year 1955 with the sincere effort of the enlightened and foresighted luminaries of the region Giridih College has endured and travelled a long way with its strict adherence to discipline, dedication and motivation over the last seventy years. The benevolent task of imparting quality education and inculcating moral values could only be accomplished with the incessant cooperation and involvement of its teaching and non-teaching members. Presently we have Eight thousand (approx) Students enrolled in various streams (B.A, B.Sc, and B.Com) apart from Post-Graduate courses in Commerce, Mathematics and English. The college offers B.Ed courses approved by NCTE and has been a study centre of IGNOU since 2006. Giridih also has a rich population of tribal's, especially Santali. Our college also imparts under Graduate courses in santhali with a mission to prefect, preserve and disseminate tribal culture of Jharkhand. The College has been accredited by NAAC and looks forward for further improvement in all fields initiating digital education, e-library, computer laboratory, smart classrooms. The college also has two NSS Unit & NCC whose cadets have acclaimed national recognition.
